Lanka Education and Research Network (LEARN) is the National Research and Education Network (NREN) in Sri Lanka. We interconnect universities, other higher education institutes, and research institutes in Sri Lanka and provide networking related services to them. We are a company limited by guarantee (association) registered under the companies act of Sri Lanka.

Job Description:
Responsible for providing assistance to the end users of LEARN member institutions for the use of applications used in online education. The position is initially probationary basis and will be considered permanency based on performance.
Qualification and Experience:
a). HND or Equivalent in Computer Science/Networking/Information Technology
and
1 years of proven experience (after the above qualification received)
Attitude:
LEARN is looking for a talented young person who has experience and interested in working on following areas.

ability to visit remote LEARN member institutes located around the country; not every day but once or twice a month.

ability to work after normal working hours when required and in case of critical requirement

ability to work remotely from home in certain situations

willingness to stay for a long time with the organization

ability to teach/share knowledge and experience

experience with Office365, GSuite
-
experience with video conferencing/collaboration platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Meet, Teams, etc)
-
experience with media service platforms (eg. YouTube, Facebook)
-
experience in LMS (Moodle)
-
ability of working on Windows/Mac OSX/Linux
-
basic knowledge of networking (IPv4, IPv6) and its services (web, DNS, email, etc)
-
experience in offline office applications (MS Office / LibreOffice / OpenOffice)
-
any other new applications LEARN introduced to the community
-
ability to guide users how to effectively use above application for educational use
Salary: Rs. 55,000.00 + Allowance
